The League of NH Craftsmen encourages, nurtures and promotes the creation, use and preservation of fine craft through the inspiration and education of artists and the broader community.

Purpose
The Scholarship Program of the League of NH Craftsmen, Inc. is administered by the League Education Committee and is designed to provide supplementary financial assistance to people engaged in craft-related study.
Eligibility
Anyone living in New Hampshire or within ten miles of its border is eligible to receive a Craft Education Scholarship. The application process is competitive. The Education Committee is interested in supporting intensive educational activities that present creative approaches to learning such as workshops, courses, seminars, or other activities designed to:
• Meet the challenges of a career as a professional craftsperson • Develop a personal interest in a craft discipline • Improve personal understanding of a craft-related topic such as design or aesthetics • Advance a skill or learn of a new technique in a craft medium • Enhance individual creativity
The following list describes examples of ineligible activities:
• Workshops and seminars conducted by the LNHC, Inc. • Travel to fairs • Travel for business purposes other than to attend a course or seminar • Seminars and courses on topics which are not related to craft
Application Deadlines
Applications for scholarships are accepted at anytime at League Offices. The Scholarship Panel will review all applications and make recommendations to the Education Committee on a monthly basis. Payment of scholarships will be made by the end of the month following the month the application is received.

1) Give the name of the course, the instructor, and the educational center 2) Describe in detail the course and its methods of instruction 3) Explain the significance of the instructor (if this is an important factor in your decision to pursue this activity) 4) What do you hope to learn from the course? 5) How will this course help you meet your professional or personal craft-related goals?

1) A factual resume of artistic/professional experience and education 2) Ten current slides or photos of your work 3) If you do not have a body of work, send a one-page narrative describing your interest in the class and the impact the class will have on your craft-related goals 4) A photocopy of Proof of Residence 5) Materials describing the class and its significance and all related costs
