Variety Basket Weaving

In this one-day workshop students can choose which kind of basket they would like to make from start to finish. Options include a garden basket, laundry basket, wool gathering basket, or a market basket. Full descriptions, dimensions, and pictures are available at the gallery.
Students are encouraged to bring a lunch as the workshop runs a full 8 hours.
Tuition is $95.00 per student, and there is no additional materials fee. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Paper Mache: Whimsical Animal Workshop

A two day workshop:
Saturdays, June 2nd and 9th
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Students will learn how to create paper mache sculptures in this two day workshop. Starting with a flying cat to outline the basics, students will then progress onwards to an animal of their choice. The cat will be fully finished and the second on its way to perfection – from there you will only be limited by your imagination!
Students should bring a pair of needle-nose/wire-cutting pliers, some imagination, and be ready to laugh. Bring a lunch, drinks, and snacks as well - the workshop runs a full 8 hours each session.
Tuition is $95.00 per student, with an additional $15.00 materials fee to be paid to the instructor at the time of the first class. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Basic Felting Workshop

Come learn the basic principles of felting in this beginner workshop! A felted canvas will be provided for you to design a one-of-a-kind picture. Students will then shrink it down using elementary wet felting methods.
This workshop will allow you to take home a finished felted picture for you to cherish.
Tuition is $75.00 per student, with an additional $40.00 materials fee to be paid to the instructor at the time of the class. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Chevron Ribbon Bracelet (Beadweaving)

This class will introduce a basic chevron chain technique and present ideas for variations. The
chevron chain is unexpectedly versatile. The look can be open and lacy or dense and firm, making this beadweaving technique suitable for decorative as well as functional applications.
If you have already discovered chevron chain, this class is designed to help you take your craft to a new level. If you are new to chevron chain, you are in for a real treat!

Lakes Region Wildlife in Felt

Beginner and experienced needle-felters will learn to make a 3-D animal that one might encounter in the Lakes Region. Students will choose to one animal such as a bear, moose, loon, turkey, deer, owl, skunk, or raccoon.
Needle felting is very easy to master. All ages find it an easy, creative, and relaxing craft. With a little care and attention to your work, you will be amazed at the projects you can do. 3-D projects are especially interesting. Let your imagination guide you and have fun!
Tuition is $30.00 per student, and there is no additional materials fee. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Nantucket Landscape Baskets

Students will learn to create a basket in the traditional Nantucket style made on a mold, with an oak base, but with the non-traditional addition of a woven tapestry of waxed linen, incorporating sea grass and birch bark in the body and rims. Students will learn the techniques to increase and decrease with the waxed linen, creating their own landscapes of color and design.
Tuition is $65.00 per student, with an additional $35.00 materials fee to be paid to the instructor at the time of the class. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Byzantine Chain Maille Bracelet

The Byzantine weave is a great introduction to chain maille. In this class you’ll learn how to connect metal jump rings to create a lovely bracelet. This technique looks complicated, but it is surprisingly easy to master. You'll leave the class with an elegant bracelet and lots of ideas for next steps in chain maille!
