I was 12 when I went to live on a motor yacht moored to a field on the Isle of Wight, England. It was here that my love of animals, nature and most specifically cows began. Animals & whimsy have always been a central theme in my craft and life. After business school, evening art classes, meeting my husband and moving to America, starting a family, building a log house & farm, I spent several years oil painting and caring for what has grown to be a herd of 13 Scottish Highland cattle. In 1979, I began sewing a variety of soft toys. I expanded to making mohair jointed teddy bears. I love to see people smile when they pick up one of my toys. It's very gratifying!
