Richard Robichaud
Media: Wood Musical Instruments

Born: 1962 in Berlin NH “The City That Trees Built”.

For the past five years I have been designing and building electric guitars using mostly locally grown tone woods such as Ash, Cherry, Hard Rock and Birdseye Maple. I now have two distinct designs which are unique yet have a certain familiarity about them. Each guitar is hand built from scratch using old school technology to produce a fine instrument which is well balanced, easy to play, with a high performance sound. Pick one up and you immediately notice it looks and feels like wood. Strum a chord and it sounds like wood. Plug it into an amplifier and you can hear a soulful, bluesy tone which only comes from instruments made from high quality hardwoods grown in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. From Cordwood to Chord Wood… “Giving the Trees a Voice.”
