Nancy Hubbard
Media: Fiber

Over the years, I have worked on a variety of commissioned pieces ranging from quilts, clothing, home decorating projects and penny rugs. I offer textile workshops in sewing, quilting and penny rugs and have taught through adult education, craft and quilt shops, sewing centers, and quilt guilds all over New England. Currently I offer classes through Exeter Fine Crafts in Exeter, NH. In 1994, taking a break from quilting, rug hooking became my new challenge. It was then that I first learned of penny rugs. I was immediately captivated by their charm and place in American history. Drawn in by their warmth, textures and visual appeal, a new passion was born. It is with great pleasure that I share with you this almost forgotten folk art.
