Robin Ascher
Media: Clay

Robin Ascher studied pottery in Seto, Japan and received her MFA from Pratt Institute in New York City. She has worked as a textile designer and high school art teacher. Her studio is in the White Mountains, in Piermont, New Hampshire.

Robin draws patterns form nature, carves them into linoleum and impresses them into clay slabs. The flat slabs of clay are then shaped into one-of-a kind vessels. Finally, she hand carves the back of each piece.

Robin Ascher's new work is currently available at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen galleries in Hanover, Hooksett, Littleton, and Meredith, N.H.
