The League's Fine Craft Galleries in Meredith and Center Sandwich are hosting special Taste of the League events, featuring fine craft by juried League members, fascinating craft demonstrations, and delicious food and refreshments from local providers. So come shop, learn and taste!

The League Fine Craft Gallery in Concord is a charming shopping destination, with a variety of gift options and personalized service -- a welcome alternative to online or big-box shopping. The Concord Gallery is located in the heart of downtown Concord, along the pedestrian- and shopper-friendly North Main Street streetscape. Beautiful well-lit, wide sidewalks and decorations will make you want to return again and again.

There's so much to do in Concord: see an indie flick at Red River Theatres (and they serve wine and beer); tour the New Hampshire State House -- one of the oldest in the US; enjoy live theater or a musical performance at the Capitol Center for the Arts; see a unique collection of fine craft dating from the 1920s on at the League of NH Craftsmen's Permanent Collection Museum in the League's headquarters. Concord has a great selection of great restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and budgets.

Situated in the heart of downtown Hanover, the NH League of Craftsmen Gallery Shop, located at 13 Lebanon Street, is a great spring and summer shopping destination. You'll find the perfect gift from our selection of traditional and contemporary fine crafts handmade by 250+ juried craft artists. Each piece of jewelry, pottery, wood, metal, fiber and wall art has been created with love and are made to stand the test of time. Our collection represents the natural beauty and character of New Hampshire.

Not only can you experience the best shopping in the Upper Valley, Hanover is a wonderful destination with many attractions and things to do. Take a class in one of our three studios; our experienced instructors offer a wide range of clay, metals, and mixed media classes for children, teens, and adults with all levels of experience. Whether you're into outdoor adventure, sports, shopping, or culture, there are many attractions and things to do for a day trip, weekend getaway, or longer. We are located opposite the Hopkins Center for the Arts and Black Family Visual Arts, and down the road from the Hood Museum Downtown, which always has fabulous exhibitions, theater performances, film screenings, and more.
Nearby attractions for the whole family include:

  • King Arthur Flour: Love to Bake? Then this is an absolute must place for you! Great bakers store, cafe and classes.
  • Montshire Museum: This is a great interactive museum for children and adults! Dozens of exciting exhibits relating to the natural, physical, sciences, ecology and technology!
  • Vermont Institute of Natural Science: Enjoy this nature center dedicated to avian wildlife, including all things raptor!
  • Appalachian Trail: feeling energetic- you can pick up the trail right here in Hanover, just like Bill Bryson!

The League of NH Craftsmen’s Hooksett Fine Craft Gallery is the newest and smallest of the League’s eight fine craft galleries, located in the I-93 Northbound Welcome Center. If you are a visitor, it's a great place to shop for creative, fun, and functional fine craft made in New Hampshire. You can also get information about the League of NH Craftsmen, its events and activities, and the other seven affiliated craft galleries located throughout the state. And since it is part of the Welcome Center, you can pick up information about a variety of statewide attractions and activities.  There's also a 1950s style Hi-Way Diner, a country store, a State of NH Liquor Store, fueling stations, and a dog-walking park. Come visit us on your way up to New Hampshire or your way home.

Nestled in the shadow of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and located along the bank of the Ammonoosuc River, Littleton is the hub of the North Country. You will find the Littleton League of NH Craftsmen Fine Craft Gallery the heart of downtown Littleton. From mugs to wood-block prints, hammered silver bracelets to handwoven shawls, you will always find something elegant, playful, practical and original. With a dedicated staff we will help you find the right gift. The gallery is open 7 days a week and we are always happy to ship.

The League’s Nashua Gallery is located in the middle of Nashua’s beautiful, historic downtown. We are just a mile from the Everett Turnpike, and are convenient to both New Hampshire and Massachusetts shoppers. There is even a private parking lot behind the building. Come shop for unique gifts for your family, your friends, your home and yourself! Everything you find here is are made one-at-a-time, by hand. We have items that will make you smile and items that will wow you. Come see us, we have lots of choices. Need someone to help you pick out that special pendant or pair of earrings? That is our specialty, and comes complete with modeling if needed. And of course, we have lots and lots of mugs!

The North Conway League Gallery is located in the heart of the scenic White Mountains and is a great place to enjoy shopping, dining, and much more. The League North Conway Gallery is brimming with unique jewelry, furniture, pottery, blown glass, forged iron, woven baskets, and fiber arts, just to name a few. Explore this historical gallery for authentic New Hampshire fine crafts of heirloom quality and timeless beauty. 

North Conway is located within the scenic White Mountain National Forest, which boasts the tallest peak in the North East (Mt. Washington 6,288 ft). There are so many recreational activities to choose from including some of the finest hiking, golfing, fishing, canoeing, camping, family attractions, scenic tours, and shopping in the entire country! See a play at one of the area playhouses, ride one of the area’s scenic train rides, take a scenic ride and a dip in the cool mountain waters along the Kancamagus Highway, visit Diana’s Baths water falls, Story Land or one of the many area family attractions that North Conway and the Mount Washington Valley has to offer.

Discover the quintessential New England village of Center Sandwich. Stop in first at the Sandwich Home Industries - League of NH Craftsmen Gallery to get your local guide. While you’re there shop, our beautiful collection of exquisite jewelry, colorful pottery, hand crafted fiber arts, and much more! The printed guide will show you the following Sandwich locations.

  • Visit the Tappan Chair workshop of Adam Nudd-Homeyer, juried member of the League of NH Craftsmen and learn about the history of Tappan Chairs made in Sandwich, NH for nearly two centuries. Tappan Chairs are simple and elegant, and similar in appearance to Shaker furniture - a classic design that has withstood the test of time.
  • For fine art, visit the other galleries in town. Patricia Ladd Carega Gallery offers a refreshing, dynamic and energetic collection of contemporary art from regional, national and international artists. Located in a barn dating back to 1825, the gallery's airy space provides an excellent venue to view art and great views of the Ossipee Mountains.
  • Surroundings Gallery specializes in original fine art produced by talented locally connected artists in a variety of media - oil, watercolor, pastels, acrylics, as well as wood carvings and unique folk art.
  • Getting hungry? From 9:00 to noon, enjoy a breakfast sandwich made with savory local meats, eggs and cheese at the Sandwich Farmer’s Market. Then shop for local vegetables, jams, fresh roasted coffee and even French-style baguettes to take home for later.
  • For lunch or a quick snack, stop by the Village Green Café and Market, a coffeehouse and community gathering place that celebrates its people, art, food and agricultural traditions.

Want to learn more about our town?  On June 24, 2017, the Sandwich Historical Society opens for its 100th”season.  Tour the Elisha Marston House for a glimpse of 19th century country living.

Rather hike than shop? Sandwich is one of the largest and most rural townships in New Hampshire.  Hike, bike, or just saunter through fields, woods, hills and streams.  One lovely place for a walk is the Chapman Sanctuary/Visny Woods, with 160 acres of woodlands and meadow open to the public with 10 miles of trails, including a self-guided nature trail. 

At the end of the day, relax with a cold beer or glass of wine and dinner at the Corner House Inn Restaurant. Choose from casual fare in the upstairs pub, or dine intimately by candlelight savoring locally sourced produce and game in one of their four country elegant dining rooms.

Come enjoy all that our unique and pristine village has to offer!!  There’s something for everyone off the beaten track in Sandwich.  

Annual Craftsmen's Fair

Starting the first Saturday in August and running for nine days, the Annual Craftsmen's Fair showcases the work of some of the finest craftspeople in the country. The Fair is the place to explore how design and passion inspire our lives. See and shop for one-of-a-kind fine craft that is both beautiful and functional. Meet the makers and learn about their vision and passion for their craft.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturdays during exhibitions, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Visit The Gallery at the League of NH Craftsmen headquarters for its latest craft exhibition. Now on display is Spinning Tales and Weaving Stories, which showcases the work of our juried members, each with a unique tale to share. This exhibition includes fine craft in a variety of media, including among others jewelry, pottery, fiber, and mixed media.

While you are at the League headquarters, visit the Grodin Permanent Collection Museum, which contains craft items from the League's early years to the present. You will see masterworks from world-renowned craftspeople including Mary and Edwin Scheier and Vivika and Otto Heino. Learn how craft has evolved and see traditions that have changed very little or not at all.
