I live in Parsonsfield, Maine, a rural town that borders Freedom, Effingham, and Wakefield, NH. I have been working primarily in clay for about 15 years, although I have always worked in some sort of media since I was a child.
While I was earning an MA in Art Therapy from Lesley University I took classes at Mudflat Pottery School in Somerville, MA. I ended up marrying my instructor and ultimately, making pots full time.
I make both sculpture and functional pots. Sculpture provides a means to explore my questions about aspects of life that lie below the surface. My functional is more lighthearted. I like playing with ideas that I think people might enjoy.
