I've been a graphic designer, a technical illustrator and a painter for over 20 years, but when I touched clay for the first time, I was thoroughly captivated and haven't looked back since.

This is a sweet  covered dish that holds a 1/2 stick of butter made by Melynn Allen. After building the form she puts down 3 coats of black underglaze and hand carves the trees for the porcelain to show through. Exquisite.

Bottom tray is 5″ x 4″
